About

Swift · UIKit · AppKit · Kotlin · Jetpack Compose

A grandfather clock takes up a corner of a room and needs winding. ChimeX is the part of it people actually miss: the Westminster quarters, sounding on time, in the background, while you do something else.

It chimes at the quarter, the half, the quarter of, and the hour, with an optional bong afterward that tolls out how many o'clock it is. The screen is a large, readable digital clock meant to be glanced at from across a room — an old iPad on a shelf is the ideal hardware for this.

The Mac version lives in the menu bar and can also speak the time aloud using the system voices.
